What to Expect
To begin your appointment, we draw blood from your arm. We then put the blood into a centrifuge, which spins the blood sample so that it separates the red blood cells from the platelet-rich-plasma. Once we have the plasma, we place it into syringes.
We use a topical and local anesthetic to ensure you are comfortable during treatment. Once you are numb, we begin the process with a free Acoustic Wave Treatment to stimulate blood flow to the area and create localized inflammation. PRP works best with an inflammatory state because it is then triggered to heal the inflammation. We then inject the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) into the soft tissue of the treatment area.
