Our History
We began in Arlington in 1985 by Dr. Gary Donovitz, an OBGYN. Dr. Donovitz had an interest in the role of hormones on your health and over the years became an internationally recognized hormone specialist. He eventually founded BioTE, the world’s premier provider for hormonal pellet therapy that is in use across the world today. With this specialization, Dr. Donovitz’s practice gradually evolved into the Institute for Hormonal Balance and today we’re one of the most respected voices in hormone therapy.
Since 2018, we’ve been owned by Dr. Mandy Cotten, FNP-C, APRN, and the daughter of our founder. She works in close collaboration with her father at the Institute, and together they’ve created a world-class resource for anyone looking for premium hormonal care or aesthetic services. Now, we’ve opened a second location so that patients can access a skilled hormone specialist in Prosper for their needs.
