Pre & Post Care Instructions

Make sure your skin is clean and free of any products when you arrive for your injections.

Protect your skin from UV damage by wearing ZO skincare sunscreen the week before your dermal fillers in Arlington.

Do not undergo any exfoliating treatments or use exfoliating products for 2 weeks before receiving fillers.

Avoid Aspirin, Motrin, Gingko Biloba, Garlic, Flax Oil, Cod Liver Oil, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, or other essential fatty acids ideally 2 weeks before treatment.

Avoid alcohol and caffeine 24 hours before dermal filler treatment.

Discontinue any Retinol or prescription-strength topical face creams 2 days before treatment.

Wash your skin only using warm water and a gentle cleanser.

Continue wearing ZO sunscreen to avoid damaging your skin.

Do not touch, scratch or massage your face for 24 to 48 hours to allow the filler to settle.

Avoid Aspirin, Motrin, Gingko Biloba, Garlic, Flax Oil, Cod Liver Oil, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, or other essential fatty acids ideally 2 weeks following treatment.

Avoid vigorous exercise and heat/sun exposure for 24 hours following dermal filler treatment.

Discontinue any Retinol or prescription-strength topical face creams 2 days after dermal filler treatment. It is also best to wear no makeup or lipstick until the next day.

Take arnica tablets to help with any bruising or swelling.

Please report any excessive pain or swelling, blanching of the skin, redness/irritation, warmth of the skin, blisters, dark excessive bruising, or anything that looks or feels unusual to your injector ASAP.
